FAQ

So what do you want to know?

Just click on your question and magically get your answer!

What is the Reader Riot?

The Reader Riot is the first book festival in the Shoals.

You can attend events with our featured guests. Or visit tables and booths set up for vendors, authors, and booksellers. You could even catch a film screening at the library that ties into your favorite book of the festival!

Lots of activities will be outdoor, such as our vendor fair and children’s character sack lunch. We have multiple venues across downtown Florence that will be hosting our featured guests, and the central hub will be the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library.

Who's gonna be there?

Good question! You can check out our Featured Guests page for the line-up!

Do you have a schedule?

When and where is the Reader Riot?

Oh yeah! How did we forget that one?

The Reader Riot is on April 28-29, 2017, and is in downtown Florence, AL.

You can point your GPS to 350 N. Wood Avenue, Florence, Alabama 35630 or Click here for directions!

Can I give you all my money?

Yes, please do! We love your money!

Our primary sponsorship is a $50 donation. For your donation, you will receive a pass to our Sponsors’ Reception on Saturday evening and priority seating for R.L. Stine‘s event at UNA’s Norton Auditorium (which will be free to the public and general admission, so this guarantees you get in!).

You can also sign up as a vendor and secure your spot to merch your wares.

If you want to work out a different sponsorship package, please email us so we can work with you directly.

Can I volunteer?

Who’s gonna turn away free labor? Of course you can volunteer! You can sign up here, and remember–you get a free t-shirt if you volunteer on the event days!

We will continually update the FAQ with new questions and answers. Because we love you, and think knowing more is awesome. But mostly because we love you.
